Your information, your choice

Privacy policy.

How we handle website visits, optional email updates, and messages you send us.

Who we are

Scribulate is operated by Get My Loot, LLC, based in Pennsylvania, United States. For support or privacy requests, email hi@rmail.scribulate.com.

This notice covers this website, its mailing list, and support correspondence. The website does not collect your desktop recordings, transcripts, notes, or dictionary. Signing up for emails does not create an app account. Accounts and paid subscriptions are not currently available on this website.

Website visits and downloads

Railway hosts this website in the United States. Hosting and network services process connection information, including IP addresses, request times, and technical logs, to deliver the site, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse. Cloudflare provides our DNS. Installer downloads are hosted by GitHub, which receives connection information when you download.

The site has no advertising trackers or application-set tracking cookies. Fonts and brand assets are served with the site. It does not request microphone access or accept recordings.

For email abuse prevention, the site keeps temporary keyed hashes of IP addresses and email addresses in server memory for up to one hour. These counters are not a marketing profile.

Optional website analytics and browser storage

We use PostHog for optional website analytics, only after you allow them. When enabled and allowed, it measures page visits and installer download requests to help us understand website usage and improve the download experience. Consent is the basis for this optional processing. Declining does not affect your ability to browse or download.

Events contain a random browser-tab identifier, known page paths, referring site origins, a broad mobile/desktop category, event times, and installer version, format, and download method. Query strings, URL fragments, email addresses, and form contents are excluded. We do not create person profiles, record sessions, track across websites, or collect desktop content.

PostHog receives connection information when an event is sent. Events request exclusion of IP addresses from event properties and disable IP-based location enrichment. Our configured PostHog project uses the United States region. We remember your analytics choice in local storage for up to 180 days. A separate identifier is stored in session storage only after consent and removed when you decline or the tab closes. Analytics also stay off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

You can allow or withdraw analytics using Cookies & analytics settings in the footer. Withdrawal stops future events; it does not automatically erase earlier events. We retain event data while needed to compare website usage and download trends, subject to the retention settings of our PostHog project. Contact us about access or deletion; the temporary identifier can limit our ability to associate past events with you.

GitHub supplies aggregate installer download counts independently of website analytics. These include repeat and direct downloads and may include automated requests. A website event records a download request, not a completed download or installation. Neither count establishes how many unique people installed the app.

Optional email updates

You can choose to receive Scribulate tips, product news, and offers for future paid plans. You can always skip signup and download the free app. We use your address to send a confirmation email through Resend. The confirmation link expires after 24 hours; you join the list only after confirming.

After confirmation, Resend stores your email address, signup source, consent version, and request and confirmation times. It also processes delivery, bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe records. Open and click tracking are disabled for our sending domain.

Each marketing email must include an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us to stop updates. Reusing a confirmation link does not undo an existing unsubscribe. We do not sell or rent the mailing list.

Support messages

Messages sent to hi@rmail.scribulate.com are received by Resend and forwarded through our website to our support inbox in Google Gmail. These services process your sender and reply addresses, message, attachments, and delivery information. We use this information to answer your request and maintain the service. Please send only information needed for your request.

How long we keep information

Mailing-list contact information is kept while you subscribe. After an unsubscribe, we retain the minimum suppression and consent information needed to honor your choice and address disputes. Contact us to request deletion; we will explain any information that must be retained for those purposes or a legal obligation.

We keep support correspondence while needed to resolve your request and any related follow-up, security, or legal matter. Email delivery and technical logs have separate provider retention: Resend currently retains email data and logs for 30 days on its standard plans; this does not automatically delete mailing-list contacts or copies delivered to Gmail. Hosting and DNS providers handle their operational logs under their own retention policies.

Service providers and security

We use the providers described above to host the site, deliver downloads, send email, and handle support. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where those providers operate. We restrict access to credentials and use encrypted connections, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

Read the privacy notices from Railway, Cloudflare, GitHub, Resend, PostHog, and Google for their practices.

Your choices and requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw email consent, by contacting hi@rmail.scribulate.com. We may need to verify that you control the relevant email address before acting. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including objection, restriction, portability, or a complaint to a privacy regulator. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier processing.

The mailing list is not intended for children under 13. Contact us if a child has submitted information so we can address it. If our practices change, we will update this notice and its effective date; material changes will receive additional notice where required.
